Kansas City Engineering Zone Hailed as Tremendous STEM Resource

Dean Kevin Truman and the faculty and staff of the UMKC School of Computing and Engineering joined with our Kansas City community to celebrate the opening of the Kansas City Engineering Zone (KC EZ) on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015. Located on the UMKC campus at 4825 Troost Ave., KC EZ is a direct response to the equity and access issues faced by Kanas City’s K-12 urban schools and their students, providing tremendous STEM resources and mentoring.

Yugyung Lee Selected As Recipient of the Prestigious N.T. Veatch Award

Leeyu1SCE proudly congratulates Dr. Yugyung (Yugi) Lee on her selection as the 2014-2015 N.T. Veatch Award for Distinguished Research and Creative Activity recipient.  Lee’s selection for this prestigious award reflects her reputation and leadership as a nationally and internationally-known scholar, conducting innovative and pioneering basic research in several challenging areas within computer science.
