Big Data and Analytics
SCE offers the following courses on Big Data and Analytics as part of the developing Data Science concentration.
- Principles of Big Data Management
- Big Data Analytics and Apps
- Real-time for Big Data Analytics
These courses utilize advanced data-management software resources provided by IBM including BigInsights, BlueMix and Cognos, as well as open-source software such as Cloudera and Apache Storm.
The school has numerous assistantship positions available each semester. Awards are usually for quarter-time or half-time support and include tuition/fee waivers.
