Research

Faculty at the School of Computing and Engineering (SCE) are well-known nationally and internationally for their research. Our faculty is very active in research with funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) and industries. Many of our faculty have served as NSF review panelists at the invitation of NSF. In the life sciences area, we’re building new partnerships with life and health sciences schools at UMKC, and life sciences partners in the Kansas City area through the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute (KCALSI).
