When you give to UMKC SCE, you are giving our students exceptional educational, research, and extracurricular experiences. Donors like you make it possible to provide student scholarships, update our facilities, attract nationally recognized faculty, and recruit high-caliber students. AREAS OF GREATEST NEED

Scholarships

Because of generous donors like you, we are able to offer scholarship support to more than 100 students each year. These gifts help relieve some of the financial burden of higher education, making it possible for our students to become more involved in students teams, participate in research, and take internships – all activities that build strong resumes and help our students enter the workforce as leaders. Your gift helps ensure that every hardworking, deserving student has the means to afford their education.

Student Teams and Organizations

Thanks to your support, we have more than 250  students participating in eight competition teams and 14 student organizations. Student teams work collaboratively year-round to prepare for competitions that take learning beyond the classroom. SCE organizations provide students with opportunities to lead and put classroom theory into motion with hands-on action.

SCE Alumni Fund

Every gift to the SCE Alumni Fund directly impacts students by providing support for scholarships, emergency aid, competition teams, leadership organizations, research opportunities, travel support, classroom upgrades, and so much more!

Capital Support

From renovating labs in our current home in R. H. Flarsheim Hall, to constructing a new 44,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility, there are plenty of opportunities to support exciting, impactful SCE capital projects.
