Dual Degrees

Students complete stress tests on sample concrete

A love of science and technology is the basic foundation for every SCE graduate. Our dual-degree program recognizes that a liberal arts background, combined with a SCE degree, produces a well-rounded, educational experience. We collaborate with other colleges and universities to make this happen for interested students.

Here’s how it works: Students spend three or four years completing their liberal arts degree at another institution. Then they transfer to UMKC to begin their two years of engineering, computer science or information technology coursework. Upon successful completion of the programs, students will earn a degree from the original institution and UMKC. We believe the complementary degrees blend a powerful mix of technical and communication skills that employers notice.
